The villa, which dates from the 17th century,
was built as the summer residence of
an aristocratic family from Cherasco.

SPACIOUS ROOMS TO ENJOY IN COMPLETE FREEDOM

The 7 apartments, designed to exclude access barriers, each have a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom or night zone with living area, and a private terrace or patio. Guests can also use the enclosed garden: 1500 m2 of lawn, trees and flowerbeds, pergola and infinity swimming pool, with annexed outside bathroom, to live an open-air life in a natural setting, in all comfort and relaxation.

The furnishings have been chosen with meticulous care to reflect the various eras that the Villa has lived through in its 300 years of history. Beds, kitchens and services systems are of the highest quality, to guarantee maximum comfort for guests. Wooden floors, tiles of fine design, ceilings with vaults or exposed beams, bright natural light and views both inside and outside contribute to the atmosphere of life in an old country villa, allowing you to drift into harmony with your surroundings for a deep regeneration of energy.

STRATEGIC POSITION

From Santa Caterina Langhe, situated just a few minutes from the motorway exit of Cherasco, you can easily reach places offering all kinds of cultural and leisure activities:

the Langhe and the area around Barolo, a Unesco World Heritage site, with unique landscapes featuring vineyards, hills and mountains as a backdrop;
the historic town centres of La Morra, Barolo and Cherasco;
the town of Alba with truffles, wine and shopping;
the seaside is only 100 km away, for a day on the beach;
the Alps are within 60 km, for a trek along the mountain paths of Monviso (3841m);
Turin, with its inexhaustible cultural resources.

TRADITION AND SUSTAINABILITY

Enhanced by its own large garden, the Villa is surrounded by our vineyards and enjoys an exceptional view over the Maritime Alps and the valley of the river Tanaro. It has been carefully refurbished with respect for the traditional materials and original structure, maintaining the grace and simple elegance of the old house. Fitted with state-of-the art technology, it satisfies severe criteria of sustainability: certified energy efficiency A+, electricity from renewable sources, underfloor heating, solar panels, recovery of rainwater for irrigation.

Due to its high altitude (350 m a.s.l.), its thick original walls and numerous windows, the house enjoys a well-ventilated climate and the internal temperature stays naturally at an ideal level. Given these characteristics, but especially because we believe in respecting the environment, we have decided not to install air conditioning (so energy-consuming, noisy and out of line with the aesthetics of the place) but instead to fit all windows with mosquito nets and traditional Piedmont slatted shutters which, when used properly, allow an extremely comfortable temperature to be maintained even in the height of summer.

Seven unique apartments,
with highest quality furnishings and finishes

The soft, natural colours and authentic materials, with original details and furniture, make each apartment different from the last. The hand-picked furniture is sober and elegant, including antiques restored to perfect condition matched with modern pieces, to guarantee full comfort and enhance the charm of the traditional country home.
